Definitions and scope of use
Our flexible polymer bladders are tested against a defined set of aggressive fluids including sulfuric acid (up to 30%), sodium hydroxide (up to 25%), and common hydrocarbons such as diesel and kerosene. Resistance data is based on immersion tests at 23°C for 72 hours. Performance may vary at elevated temperatures or under prolonged UV exposure. Always consult the chemical compatibility chart for your specific fluid before deployment.
The Modular Containment Basin 20m³ is designed for semi-permanent and temporary installations. It meets ASTM D5747-08 guidelines for secondary containment of petroleum products and corrosive liquids. For permanent below-grade installations, additional engineering review and site-specific sealing measures are required. The basin panels alone do not constitute a fire-rated barrier.
All Flexnetstor fluid containment products carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty excludes damage caused by improper handling, chemical incompatibility, mechanical abrasion beyond normal use, or unauthorized modifications. Weld seams are covered only if failure occurs under standard operating pressure (≤0.5 bar for bladders).
The FlexiTank Transport Bladder 1000L is not UN-approved for hazardous goods transport under ADR or IMDG codes. It is intended for non-potable water, drilling muds, and non-regulated industrial fluids. If you intend to transport classified dangerous goods, you must use a certified rigid tank or a UN-tested flexitank from a licensed supplier. Our bladders are not rated for pressurized road transport.
“Spill-proof” refers to the bladder’s ability to retain its contents under static conditions and during normal handling with the valve closed. It does not guarantee zero leakage under puncture, overpressure, or improper closure. All bladders should be placed inside a secondary containment basin or on an impermeable liner when used in environmentally sensitive areas. No flexible container is completely immune to failure.
